Villa Soleil, Arnos Vale Tobago

French for ‘sun’ Soleil is aptly named and a truly impressive well designed 5 bedroom villa as seen in The New York Times and The Gaurdian (UK) The design embraces the stunning location, on a hillside in beautiful Arnos Vale Tobago. The turquoise water of the Caribbean Sea is practically at your doorstep. This villa offers a soothing Japanese ambience and a decor perfectly suited to the environs. Relax beside the pool or in the open courtyard which showcases wonderful unpolluted skies at night. The house itself surrounds the open courtyard while the foyer, kitchen, dining and living areas are very open and flow into one another, which is perfect for entertaining. The views/seascapes from Villa Soleil are noticeable from almost every corner of the villa since almost every wall is lined with windows. Views can also be seen from each ensuite bedroom as they all feature spacious individual private balconies that face the sea and allow you to relax and admire the stunning surroundings from your bedroom and feel the refreshing sea breeze, while the sun sparkles on the water below. Views can also be seen from the ensuite bathroom which has windows that face the sea.

The courtyard and all rooms on this main level of the villa are impeccably and thoughtfully furnished to encourage large gatherings, whilst still providing comfortable areas promoting individual escape. The spacious and open kitchen is completed with very appealing and high-quality wooden finishes throughout while the centre of the kitchen features a wooden structure which holds pots, pans and utensils almost as if they were hanging from the ceiling. The villa’s kitchen also comes fully equipped with ample stainless steel appliances to satisfy a chef. However, if you’ve decided to rent the villa, Soleil’s housekeeper Camille, would be happy to prepare almost any kind of local food you desire. The dining area features a large mahogany table, which would also be set by the housekeeper if renting and allows for seating up to 12 persons with ample room. The foyer flows into a mini-cocktail lounge area off the kitchen with seating accommodation. Obliquely across the cocktail lounge is the open courtyard with wooden Adirondack chairs, for you to recline with your refreshments. On the other side of the kitchen is another counter/ breakfast bar, adjoined by even more counter space.

In the central area of the villa, there’s a total of 4 ensuite bedrooms, these of which include the official master suite on the lower main floor, with the other 3, just as large bedrooms on the upper level. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with ceiling fans and a constant flow of sea breeze once the windows are open. They also all feature huge multi-coloured tiled shower rooms. On the ground level, there is a separate and self-contained apartment with a living area, full kitchen & bathroom, and a sleeping area furnished with a queen sized bed – Villa Soleil’s 5th bedroom. The living room of the villa’s apartment opens onto the wooden pool deck with multiple seating/ relaxing areas and a lily pond, barbeque area and the villa’s two swimming pools. There is a pathway that leads to the sea from the lower pool deck. The covered jetty down there has already become a popular wedding spot.
